The straightforward terms under which Chimney Green provides its chimney and garden services. Fair, clear and honest — the way we like to work.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to all work carried out by Chimney Green. By booking a visit or accepting a quote, you agree to them. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. Quotes & pricing
Prices shown on this website are starting prices to give you a guide. You'll always receive a firm quote before any work begins, and the agreed price is what you pay — we don't add call-out charges or extras without your say-so. Larger jobs may be quoted following a brief visit or from photos you send us.
3. Booking & appointments
When you book, we'll confirm a date and time slot. We ask that you give us reasonable notice — ideally 24 hours — if you need to cancel or rearrange, so we can offer the slot to someone else. We'll extend the same courtesy to you.
4. Access & preparation
To carry out the work safely and cleanly, we ask that you provide clear access to the chimney, appliance, garden or area concerned. For chimney work, the fire must be out and cold for at least 24 hours before we arrive. Please move or protect any delicate items near the work area.
5. Our work & standards
We carry out all work with reasonable skill and care, to NACS standards where applicable, and leave the area clean and tidy. Chimney sweeps include a certificate where appropriate. If we identify a fault or risk, we'll tell you honestly and advise — but we'll never pressure you into unnecessary work.
Our promise to you
If something isn't right with our work, tell us and we'll put it right. Our name is on every job — that's the standard we hold ourselves to.
6. Waste removal
Where we remove waste, we do so as a registered waste carrier and dispose of it legally and responsibly. We will not remove certain hazardous materials; if any are present, we'll let you know and advise on the correct route for disposal.
7. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work, by card or cash. For larger or ongoing jobs, payment terms will be agreed in advance and set out in your quote.
8. Liability & insurance
We hold public liability insurance covering our work. Our liability is limited to the direct cost of putting right any work not carried out to a reasonable standard. We are not liable for pre-existing defects in a chimney, flue, structure or garden that were present before our visit, though we will always point them out where we find them.
9. Photos & footage
CCTV inspection footage and condition reports are provided to you for your records. We may, with your consent, use anonymised before-and-after images of completed work to showcase our services.
